We're ready, are you!? Even if you can't sing come to our SONGCAMP 13th-17th of July

2 days until "sing-off" . We've got 15 singers, many of whom have never sung in their lives by the way, some were with us last year and the year before! Rebecca our dynamic, quirky somewhat crazy Australian choirmaster has landed fresh from London where she conducts four community choirs.

We've put together what must be the "bestest" songlist ever !
Here are some of the titles ;
I Wanna BeLike You (Robbie William's version)
MacThe Knife (Sinatra)
Love Me Tender (Elvis Presley)
Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life (Monty Python)....

And you know what ? If you can't sing that's ok, we want you anyway! It's all about learning English, having fun, meeting new friends and eating scrummy lunches ...

I have cooked  over 2,000 scones.
I have taught for 1495 hours.
I have never lost my voice. (you would be so lucky)
I have made over 1,800 litres of tea.
I have organised three song camps.
I have prepared thousands of listening exercises.
I have yet to expell anyone, but its been close ( You know who you are).
I have organised at least 20 social and cultural events. screenings, breakfasts in the square, Christmas and end of term parties, private views, conferences, plays, cabarets. You name it we've done it !

Story Telling Workshop At Speakeasy, Forcalquier

Luigi and Gabi doing their stuff, who is the big bad wolf?

twisting  tonguetwisters, not that easy but what fun !

try this at home

One-one was a race horse.
Two-two was one too.
One-one won one race.
Two-two won one too

They're not as easy as they look, even if you are a native English speaker!  But we all mastered it in the end and there was definitely a smell of success on the pronunciation front.

Tonguetwisters are undeniably a great way of getting students to train their mouths and also when you laugh that much you can only learn !

We ran this course as an experiment this year and it WILL become a regular feature on our events diary.
